See those young faces? That’s us on our very first trip together, to Formentera—still one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. So, how do a Dutchman and an Española cross paths and continue their journey together? Well, it all started at a festival where we first saw each other, but that wasn’t quite the beginning. It was during a casual BBQ in the Vondelpark that we struck up a conversation, and once we started talking, we never really stopped!

The next morning, we both knew we wanted to keep the conversation going. After a few slow and somewhat awkward first dates, the real spark came on August 2nd during Gay Pride, when Merijn finally gathered the courage to kiss Lines.. and from that moment on, we were inseparable. While living in Amsterdam, we embraced city life, went on countless adventures across Europe, Asia and (of course) made many trips to beautiful Spain.

Starting a family and moving to Hilversum marked the second chapter in our journey. We’ve learned that life isn’t always easy, but as a team, we can face anything. We balance each other (one more emotional, the other more rational) and together, we’ve found a powerful harmony.

On the 21st of June, we embark on the next chapter of our journey—with our boys, and with all of you by our side. We celebrate love: not just the love between us, but the deep love we share with our friends and family. It’s a day to celebrate life, connection, and the joy we find in those around us.
